Agha Hashar Kashmiri

Agha Hashar Kashmiri born in Banaras (British India) in 1879 and died on 28th of April in 1945 in Lahore Pakistan. He is very famous Urdu drama writer in indo-pak (subcontinent). he was of Kashmiri origen. he writes his 1st paly in the age of 17. he is considered the tern setter and very 1st one to write the Urdu drama. He translated many Shakespeare's plays in Urdu language.
Agha Hashar Kashmiri writes on each social issue of that time and almost touched all the tastes including religion in his plays, he wrote many plays and each one of them is considered to be the master piece. His famous plays are Rustam-o-Sohrab, Laila Majnoo, Anarkali, Bhakt Surdas, Bilwa Mangal, Sufaid khoon, Mureed-e-Shak, Aseer-e-Hirs, Khoobsoorat Bala, Aankh Ka Nasha, Yahudi Ki Ladki and Mashriqui Hoor although Agha Hashar's masterpiece for the stage was Anarkali. He also writes romantic Plays/ dramas such as Yehudi Ki Ladki. he also wrote in Hindi and Sanskrit languages.
Anarkali was a story of Mughal Emperor Muhammad Akbar, hiss son Shehzada Saleem and their dancer Anarkali, the love story of Anarkali and Shehzada Saleem is a very famous Urdu story and the drama written by Kashmiri is considered very best narration or presentation of the story.
