Ahmad Faraz is a most knownn poet of subcontinent. he wrote many famous books like Tanha Tanha, Ahmad Faraz born in 1931 in the province of NWFP of that time in the historic city of Kohat , and he died 2008 in Islamabad the capital city of Pakistan.
He was lecturer at the Peshawar University in his early days of career. He was awarded Hilal-e-Imtiaz, Sitara-i-Imtiaz and Hilal-e-Pakistan by the Pakistan's Government.
